Ed Kopec

Ed Kopec is a Toronto-based professional musician who has played the Toronto and GTA ” scene” for over 40 years. He originally started on accordion as a child and later transitioned to the piano (Ed still performs on accordion for special venues)

Having started with the Royal Conservatory of Music method, he picked up much practical experience by performing with a variety of bands in his youth and later in life attended the Humber College of Music for jazz. He has a BSc degree from the University of Toronto. Ed has performed with many A-list Toronto musicians such as Colleen Allen, Jane Fair, Levi Conscious, and Pierre LeGendre.

His tutors and mentors include Hilario Duran, Robi Botos, and Brian Dickinson. He performs as a solo pianist, trio, and full band. The various venues Ed has performed at include Golf & Country Clubs such as Donalda, Toronto Golf & Country Club, St. George’s, and Weston. Hotels include the Park Plaza, The Old Mill, and the Fairmont Royal York. Performances include weddings, clubs, corporate and private functions.

He has an extensive repertoire of over 500 songs from various genres: Jazz, Latin, Blues, Funk, and Pop.
